Some rain in forecast as summer winds down

There will be some rain in the next few days, the last week before a new school year starts.

Today there is a slight chance for showers before 1 p.m., while it will be mostly cloudy with a high near 78 in Orleans County, according to the National Weather Service in Buffalo. Tonight there will be showers with a chance of a thunderstorm with heavy rain.

On Wednesday, there is a chance for more showers before 10 a.m. It will be cloudy and then sunny, with a high near 78.

Thursday will be sunny with a high near 75, with a chance of showers at night.

Friday morning there is a chance of showers before noon. It will be partly sunny with a high near 75.

Saturday is forecast to be sunny with a high near 71, according to the Weather Service.
