Black Bears cut into Muckdogs’ division lead
Outhit 15-9, the Batavia Muckdogs dropped a 10-4 decision to the West Virginia Black Bears Thursday evening in a New York-Penn League game at Dwyer Stadium to see their Pinckney Division lead reduced to a game and a half.
A five run third inning, highlighted by a two-run double and an RBI single keyed the win for the division runner-up Black Bears which improve to 32-26.
Dalvy Rosario and Troy Johnston both had 3 hits for the Muckdogs which slip to 34-25.
The Muckdogs host the Black Bears again this evening at 7:05.
