Wagner wins two Jr PGA tournaments

Medina High junior Ian Wagner shared first place honors at the Western New York Jr. PGA Tournament held at the Fox Valley Country Club in Lancaster on Saturday.
Wagner shared first place honors with Aidan Shaw of Orchard Park.
Interestingly Wagner also tied with Shaw at the end of regulation play at last month’s Section VI championship. Shaw then bested Wagner on the first playoff hole.
Both golfers finished with a four over par total of 76 on identical rounds of 38 and 38 on Satruday.
Today Wagner completed a big weekend sweep by capturing top honors at the JR PGA Tournament at Eagle Vale Golf Club in Fairport.
Wagner posted a score of 69 on rounds of 37 and 32 to earn a two stroke victory.
Earlier in the month, Wagner placed third at the Jr. PGA Tournament at Gowanda.
