U10 AnJo Bombers win opening tourney
Contributed Photo – Even though the weather was wet and cold, the Boys of Summer Kickoff Tournament went on as scheduled this past weekend and the U10 AnJo Bombers took top honors. The Bombers competed against teams from Canada and Western New York in the kickoff tournament. Going into championship round on Sunday, the Bombers were listed as the 3rd seed. The Bombers defeated Erindale Lions from Mississauga, Ontario 12-7 to advance to the championship game. In the title contest, the Bombers defeated the Academy Stars from 17-4 to win the gold.
