Albion and Holley score tennis wins
Albion bested Barker 5 1/2-0 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League tennis match.
Matt Kovaleski, Carson Bader and Chase Froman all scored singles match wins for the Purple Eagles as did the doubles teams of Josh Riley-Matt Rowcliffe, Andrew Caldwell-Kolin VanGorder and Zach Kilner-Katelyn Spierdowis.
In the other N-O matches, defending champion Akron improved to 10-0 by downing Roy-Hart (5-4) 4-1 and Wilson (6-3) bested Newfane (1-8) 3-2 1/2.
Nate Chubb, Will Chubb and Morgan Wdowka all won at singles for Akron as did the first doubles team of Micah Suckow-Harry Fitzgerald. Roy-Hart’s duo of Aspen Moore- Kayla Hagen won at second doubles.
In Genesee Region League action, Holley blanked Alexander 5-0 and Oakfield-Aalbama downed Kendall 3-2.
Aaron Strathearn, Cheyan Palmer and Kristina Yaroshchuk all won singles matches for Holley as did the Hawks doubles teams of Eli Bibby-Jake Peters and Kory Puente-Cora Bennage.
Nate Warters won at first singles for Kendall as did the Eagles second doubles team of Eric Woodhams-Andrue Waugh.

Wilson downed host Medina 70-49 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League boys makeup track meet as Marcell Wilson was a triple winner in the 100, Long Jump and Triple Jump and Will Schwartzmueller doubled in the 1600 and 3200.
Wilson is now 3-2 and Medina 0-4.
The girls meet is incomplete as the Shutput and Discus were unable to be run because of wet grounds. Medina holds a 63-56 lead at this point..
Skylar Munnikhuysen was a triple winner for Wilson in the 200, Long Jump and High Jump while Emma Schwartzott doubled for Medina in the 200 and 400.
