Kendall, Lyndonville post softball wins
Kendall defeated host Oakfield-Alabama 8-4 and Lyndonville downed host Pembroke 12-4 in Genesee Region League softball action this afternoon.
Brittney Marks had 3 hits and Anna Oakley and Madison Shonitsky 2 each to lead the Kendall attack while in the circle Sara Mattle scattered 8 hits and struck out 14.
Marks had a two-run double and Oakley an RBI single to highlight an early four run second inning.
Kendall will host rival Holley at 4 p.m. Thursday.
Leading 4-2, Lyndonville put a lock on the win over Pembroke by scoring 7 runs in the sixth inning as Chloe Sinson and winning pitcher Lorelei Dillenbeck both had two-run singles. Both players had two doubles on the day.
Earlier, the Lady Tigers took the lead for good at 4-2 by scoring twice in the third inning on a double by Natalie Ostrowski and a single by Cassie Boyce.
In the circle, Dillenbeck gave up just 4 hits and struck out 6.

Nate Warters and Ryan Barrett scored wins at the first two singles positions for Kendall in the narrow 3-2 loss to Attica.
