Four employees of Keeler Construction are working with the Town of Irondequoit this week. The employees wanted to honor 9/11 by putting a flag on the paver while they were at work on Wednesday, which was the 18thanniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

The four employees from Keeler’s are, from left: Van Morgott (saluting), Justin Windnagle, Marc Smith (in the blue shirt) and Jason Bessel (sitting on top of the paver next to the flag).

Residents and the Activities staff at Orchard Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Medina decided they wanted to honor our local first responders on 9/11.  To show their appreciation they baked brownies during their monthly cooking session and presented them to the Medina Fire Department. To honor the memory of those lost on 9/11, Orchard Rehabilitation & Nursing Center presented the Fire Department with a picture created by resident Gloria Ash.

Pictured, include, front row: Joel Erickson, Gloria Ash, Betty Clark and Frank Ranallo. Back row: ORNC administrator Martin MacKenzie, Brad Mahnke, Chris Seefeldt, activities director Jamie Murphy, Lieutenant Mike Young, Adam Fisher and Sergio DiCenso.
