The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a winter storm watch for 4 p.m. Friday through 4 p.m. Saturday with 8 to 14 inches of snow expected in Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Genesee, Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario, Chautauqua and southern Erie counties.

“Travel will be very difficult to impossible,” the Weather Service said. “Significant reductions in visibility are possible.”

A flood watch also is in effect from Thursday through Friday night due to extensive snow melt with temperatures in the 50s for two days.
