8 run inning sparks Banes to 7th victory

A big third inning scoring burst keyed undefeated (7-0) Banes to a 15-3 win over 2 Short Kennels in a Medina Women’s Softball League game Monday.

Leading 3-0, Banes broke the game open by erupting for 8 runs in the third inning.

Doubles by Connie Heschke, Sue Seefeldt, Robin Blaun and Danielle Cervone ignited the decisive uprising which also included singles by Jen Masse, Jami Chatt, Rilegh McCabe and Kim Cervone.

Grace Masse also had a double during a two-run second inning as did Chatt during a two-run fourth frame.

Banes closed out the win with two runs in the fifth on a single by Grace Masse, a double by McCabe and  a single by Morgan Allis.

McCabe finished with three hits as Chatt, Blaun and Jen Masse each had two. Blaun’s hits were both doubles.

Banes next faces Village Spin at 6 p.m. next Monday at Jr. Wilson 1.

Bent Opera House wins

Bent Opera House played a strong well rounded game, plugging the win over Just Us.

It started with a fast scoring inning led by Melissa Prince and finished by Hayley Schmidt.

On the mound Jean Swiercznski was in the groove only allowing a few hits.

Melissa Prince went 4–4 followed by Kelly Jo Pritchard going 3-3 to cap off the hits.
