8 Orleans players earn G-R All-Star honors
Division 1 champion Holley has placed four players on the Genesee Region League girls soccer All-Star team.
The Lady Hawks quartet includes senior midfielders Kayleigh Neale and Halee Passarell, freshman midfielder Samantha Bates and freshman goalie Emma Brady.
Holley coaches Renee Wolf and Emily Harms were also honored as G-R Coaches of the Year.
Kendall is represented by the trio of senior midfielders Madison Jacob and Brianna Wakefield and junior defender T’Mia Kitchings.
Lyndonville/Medina is represented on the All-Star team by junior forward Ella Lewis.
Bates had 15 goals and 5 assists on the season, Neale 10 goals and 10 assists and Passarell 9 goals and 8 assists while in the net Brady made 51 saves and had a 0.889 goals against average.
Wakefield had 9 goals and 5 assists, Jacob 5 goals and 4 assists and Kitchings 2 goals and 2 assists.
Lewis led local scorers with 14 goals.
Holley also had Bella Thom and Jailyn Bishop earn Honorable Mention as did Kendall’s Grace Robinson and Kailie Regan.
Lyndonville/Medina’s Honorable Mention selections included Lily Joe Carpenter, Kaylee Nesbitt, Brooklyn Brown, Emma Rousch, Carina Kingsbury and Gracie Cogovan.
The All-Star team also includes Eden Goff, Mia Gray, Bianca Brumsted and Hope Hersom from Byron-Bergen; Niyah Rosado, Emily Parker and Hannah Beldue from Wheatland-Chili; Autumn Mathisen, Brenna Munn, Maylee Green and Rebeka Nickerson from Notre Dame; Madison Harrington and Brynn Walczak from Oakfield-Alabama/Elba; Serene Calderson from Pembroke and Maleina Pellegrino and Erika Wuest from Alexander.
