HOLLEY/CLARENDON – This group of Holley students in the Interact Club was up early on Sunday to clean headstones at Hillside Cemetery. They were there after a school dance on Saturday and a day before the start of homecoming week.
The students take on the task at Hillside each year in one of their community service projects. They worked with Clarendon Historian Peter Turkow and also were assisted by Clarendon firefighters who brought two fire trucks with water to help clean the gravestones.
Interact Community Liaison Sal DeLuca helps Harrison Flanagan fill up a bucket of water.
These students brought lots of energy and passion to cleaning the gravestones and monuments.
