The National Weather Service in Buffalo warns that 6 to 10 more inches of snow is headed to Orleans County beginning today through 2 a.m. Thursday.

The Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Orleans, Niagara, northern Erie and Genesee counties, saying the 6 to 10 inches of snow is expected from 6 p.m. today through 2 a.m. Thursday.

“Plan on difficult travel conditions, including during the morning commute on Wednesday,” the Weather Service said. “Tree branches could fall. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow.”
