6 taken by ambulances after 2-vehicle accident in Albion

ALBION – Six people, including two small children, were injured this afternoon and transported by ambulances after two vehicles were in an accident at the intersection of West Countyhouse and Gaines Basin roads at about 3:45 p.m.

None of the people suffered life-threatening injuries, Albion firefighters said. COVA took four of the people in two ambulances and Mercy Flight in Batavia also transported two people by ambulance.

A Barre firefighter witnessed the accident and said this van entered the intersection and was struck by the red car which had the right of way.

The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident. No additional information is available.
