5 school districts in Orleans announce they will be closed on Thursday
With bitter cold temperatures in the forecast for Thursday, including 1 degree at 8 a.m. with a 20-below wind chill, all five school districts in Orleans County have announced they will be closed.
Albion, Holley, Kendall, Lyndonville and Medina have announced that school is cancelled for Thursday, including extracurricular and after-school activities.
Albion Central School will have a 6 p.m. Board of Education meeting in the Middle School Auditorium. Cornell University personnel will give a presentation about the Albion Teachers’ Association health concerns at the elementary school. This special presentation is open to staff and the community.
