4 to 6 more inches of snow headed to Orleans

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from 6 a.m. Tuesday until 8 a.m. on Wednesday for Orleans, Monroe, Genesee, Wyoming, Livingston and Allegany counties.

Another 4 to 6 inches of snow is in the forecast with winds gusting as high as 35 miles per hour.

“Travel will be difficult at times with snow-covered roads and poor visibility,” the Weather Service said. “The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.”

The high temperatures in the forecast for Orleans County include 36 degrees today, 31 on Tuesday, 36 on Wednesday, 46 on Thursday and 53 on Friday.
