A winter weather advisory has been issued for Orleans and most of Western New York for Tuesday from 3 a.m. to 10 p.m.

That National Weather Service in Buffalo said Orleans and the Niagara Frontier can expect 3 to 6 inches of snow and about a tenth of an inch of ice.

“Winds gusting as high as 40 mph may bring down a few tree branches and result in isolated power outages,” the Weather Service said.

The snow and freezing rain will result in slippery roads and reduced visibilities, including during the morning and evening commute, the Weather Service said.
