Press Release, U.S. Reps. Tom Reed, Elise Stefanik and Chris Jacobs

CORNING – Today, Reps. Tom Reed (NY-23), Elise Stefanik (NY-21), and Chris Jacobs (NY-27) released the following statement regarding Governor Cuomo and Covid-19 vaccines:

“We are appalled by Governor Cuomo’s continued insistence on undermining a Covid-19 vaccine, the integrity of the FDA, and the hundreds of incredible scientists who have dedicated their lives to serving the American people.

“Numerous public health experts have noted the Governor’s efforts are not only wrong and unethical, they are fundamentally dangerous and they put people’s lives in jeopardy.

“We trust the FDA and its 114-year history of protecting and promoting the public health of the nation.

“New Yorkers don’t need Governor Cuomo to decide what life-saving medical resources they should or shouldn’t have access to. Instead, they need their leaders to put aside the politics and prioritize combating this virus together.

“We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure every New Yorker has access to the safe and effective vaccines and treatments they deserve.”
