Winter weather advisory in effect tonight through Wednesday afternoon
A winter weather advisory has been issued for Orleans County and much of Western New York from midnight to 2 p.m. on Wednesday. There are 3 to 6 inches of snow expected, the National Weather Service in Buffalo said.
The advisory includes Niagara, Orleans, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties.
The Weather Service said motorists should plan on slippery road conditions with the hazardous conditions impacting the Wednesday morning commute.
