2019 in Review: #4 Mustangs claim fourth straight N-O basketball championship

The Medina High boys basketball team captured a fourth straight Niagara-Orleans League championship with a 12-0 record.

A 50-49 overtime win at runner-up Newfane keyed the title run for the Mustangs which finished with a 17-4 overall record.

Senior Izaiah Rhim, who earned first team N-O All-League honors, led the Mustangs underclassmen dominated squad whose starting lineup also included junior Nate Sherman and sophomore Brian Fry, who were both second team All-League selections along with senior Vincent Montague and sophomore Tyler Chinn who both earned All-League Honorable Mention.

In N-O girls basketball, Wilson compiled a 12-0 record to claim the championship for the ninth time in the last 10 years.
