2.5 inches of rain headed our way
Flood watch issued from Thursday through Saturday morning
The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a flood watch for Orleans County and much of Western New York, beginning Thursday morning through Saturday afternoon.
The Weather Service says 2 ½ inches of rain could fall from tonight through Friday evening. The rain will produce significant rises on area tributaries, and some tributaries may exceed their banks, especially if actual rainfall is at the higher end of the forecast range, the Weather Service said.
The flood watch includes the following counties: Orleans, Niagara, Monroe, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Livingston and Ontario.
