Lyndonville wrestlers win Cal-Mum Duals

Going 5-0 on the day, Lyndonville took top honors at the Caledonia-Mumford Duals Wrestling Tournament today.

Lyndonville defeated Perry 39-29 in the key match. The Tigers also downed Eastridge 57-12, Cal-Mum 54-22, Byron-Bergen 63-12 and Avon/Geneseo 60-16.

Lyndonville’s Maddox Stirk, who went 5-0 including three pins, was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler for the upper weight classes.

Payton Grabowski and Noah Neff also both went 5-0 for the Tigers. Allan Heideman was 3-0 while Sebastian Temich, Christian Garver and Sam Doolan all went 4-1.

Lockport Tournament
Medina’s Gavin Ciarfella took top honors in the 118 lb. bracket at the Lockport Tournament with a 5-2 decision win over Lew-Port’s Caden Barrientos. He advanced to the finals with a pair of second period pins.

In the JV Tournament hosted by Newfane, Conor Crandall (160) and Sawyer Kingsbury (189) both took first place honors for Medina. The Mustangs also had Trenton Morely and Breydin McEwen-Miller place second.
