Kendall boys advance to C2 soccer semifinals
No. 6 seed Kendall bested No. 3 HAC 3-1 this afternoon in the quarterfinal round of the Section V Class C2 boys soccer playoffs.
Kendall jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead just three minutes in as Zach Barrett scored his 8th goal of the season off an assist from Louis Conte.
That duo then reversed roles later in the half as Conte netted his 9th goal of the campaign off a corner by Barrett.
Josh Esposito then boosted the Eagles advantage to 3-0 at the half as he scored his second goal of the season off an assist from Jonathan Reyes.
HAC’s lone goal came in the second half.
Jorden Ostrander made 10 saves in goal for Kendall including one big stop on an HAC free kick attempt in the second half to keep the Eagles up 3-1.
Now at 9-7-2, Kendall will next play in the semifinal round on Wednesday.
