11 run inning caps of Kendall victory

Kendall used a marathon 11 run inning to lock up a 15-1 victory over host Alexander in a Genesee Region League baseball game this afternoon.

Two run singles by winning pitcher Gavin Braun and Gio Rodriquez highlighted the huge fifth inning uprising for the Eagles which also includes RBI singles by Colby Hughes, Andrew Cole and Vinnie D’Agostino.

D’Agostino,  who had a total of 3 hits,  Sammy Conte and Jonas Rhodes also had RBI singles during a three run third inning.

On the mound, Braun scattered 5 hits and struck out 7.

Oakfield-Alabama 9, Lyndonville 0
In another G-R contest, Oakfield-Alabama blanked Lyndonville 9-0 as David Schnaufer hurled a 3 hitter with 10 strikeouts.

Akron 12, Barker 2
Home runs by Collin Miller and Anthony Consiglio and a two-run single by Gavin Miller in the first inning sparked Akron to a 12-2 win over Barker in a season opening Niagara-Orleans League baseball game this afternoon. Consiglio had 2 homers on the day.

Ryan Owen picked up the win on the mound for the Tigers allowing 3 hits and striking out 9.
