1 to 3 inches of snow forecast for Orleans on Wednesday

3 to 5 inches expected in Batavia, Buffalo

The National Weather Service said 1 to 3 inches of snow is expected in Orleans and Niagara counties from mid-morning to mid-afternoon Wednesday.

Even more snow – 3 to 5 inches – is expected Wednesday in the Batavia and Buffalo areas, with the most persistent lake snows across northern Erie and western Genesee counties.

Today is forecast for a high of 38, with temperatures dropping to 22 tonight.

Wednesday and Thursday will both reach highs of 30, according to the National Weather Service.
