The Niagara Nationals made one lone unearned run stand up for a victory this morning to improve to 3-2-1 in pool play at the PG WWBA National Championships being held in Georgia.

The Nationals nipped the Dulin Dodgers 1-0 on a bases loaded passed in the fourth inning. Three  walks loaded the bases to set up the opportunity.

The Nationals had only 2 hits, singles by Liam Ward and Chris Goyette.

The Dodgers did get the bases loaded on 3 singles in the seventh inning but the Nationals got out of the jam on a clutch game ending 8-8-6 double play from center fielder Joe Dell’oso to shortstop Korey Canton.

Casey Saucke went the distance on the mound allowing 7 hits with 4 strikeouts.

The Nationals will compete pool play with a game on Wednesday.
