Roy-Hart to honor former long-time coach

In special ceremonies this Friday evening, former long-time Roy-Hart football Coach Bruno Pacini will be inducted into the Proud To Be A Ram Wall of Fame.

The ceremonies will take place on the Roy-Hart football field, which is named in his honor, at 6:30 p.m. prior to the Alden vs. Barker/Roy-Hart varsity game.

Pacini served the Roy-Hart District for 28 years (1950-1978) as a head football coach and a Social Studies teacher.

Pacini’s Rams football squad captured seven Niagara-Orleans League championships (1953, 1954, 1957, 1967, 1969, 1971 and 1976. The 1976 squad went on to also won a Section VI championship.

Pacini graduated in 1950 from Niagara University where he was the starting halfback on the football team. He was inducted into the Niagara University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2003.
