Tom is a very private and quiet person but would do anything for anyone. He cherishes time spent with friends, at the cabin and fishing at Howard’s pond. Tom and his sister are very close, and he adores his two nieces. He has worked at Kistner Concrete in Corfu for 22 years.
Tom has been diagnosed with a rare auto-immune disease, causing his body to attack its own healthy tissues. In addition to losing his hearing, Tom’s heart and lungs are gravely affected by the disease.
At this time, Tom is in need of a double lung transplant, and after spending a week at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh – a leading lung transplant hospital – we have learned the details of the heavy financial cost. Transplants are very expensive and require a lifetime of follow-up appointments, 20 daily medicines which cost as much as $5000 a month, travel and lodging expenses before and after surgery, etc. Gift of Life is a lifetime commitment, sacrifices and dedication.
Please join us and help give Tom the gift of life.
