Youth softball season gets underway

Lyndonville United Methodist Church defeated Medina Savings and Loan 13-7 Wednesday to open the local youth softball season which this season has teams from Roy-Hart, Medina and Lyndonville competing in the same league.

LUMC Scored 6 runs in the second inning and 5 runs in the 5th.

The second inning included hits by Makayla Heidman  and Brooklynn Parsons, an RBI single by Lily Joe Carpenter and a two-run single by Sophia Weber.

In the fifth inning, Carpenter, Elissa Roath and Shelby Boring all had hits and Sophia Romano and Weber banged out RBI singles.

Weber and Carpenter both had a total of 3 hits and Heidman 2.

Pitcher Haley Shaffer held the six run lead in the 5th by retiring first three batters to end the game.
