Roy-Hart, Medina bow in field hockey

Akron (6-1) blanked Roy-Hart (1-7) 4-0 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League field hockey game as Ashton Witzleben led the Lady Tigers with two goals.

In the other N-O games, Kenmore (4-4) blanked visiting Medina (0-8) 4-0 and Wilson (6-2) nipped Newfane (3-5) 1-0 on a goal by Erin Boyle.

Amanda Culverwell had 4 blocks and Sam Ess 18 assists to lead Wilson (5-3) to a four set win over visiting Medina (4-4) this evening.

Nicole Blount had 8 spiking kills and Emma Ambrose 6 for Medina as Emily Kams added 18 assists.

Newfane 17-20-21

Natalee Jonathan had 22 assists and 10 digs, Taydem Printup 8 kills and 3 aces and Taylor Jonathan 6 kills and 10 digs to lead Akron (2-4) to a straight set win over Newfane (5-3).

Erica Wright had 7 kills and 10 digs and Amber Haseley 15 digs for Newfane.
