Albion competed in the annual Greece Olympia 7 on 7 Tournament over the weekend which attracted 12 teams from Section V and Section VI.
The Purple Eagles went up against Lancaster, Greece Olympia, Fairport and Monroe during the tourney.
“Although we played well at times, it’s still not where we want to be,” said Albion captain and quarterback Kyle Smith. “The guys on the team are very committed to getting better and that’s why we do these tournaments. We compete, get our timing down and have some fun.”
Continuing to tune up for the upcoming season, the Albion gridders will be taking part in a 7 on 7 camp at Batavia High School Tuesday, July 21 and 28. The Purple Eagles will then host their own football camp August 3-6.
