Mary SailusMary L. Sailus, 91, of Holley, died May 26, 2020 in the Hillhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a short illness. She was born Nov. 18, 1928 in Rochester to Nicola and Josephine (Pilato) Marchesoni and lived in this area all of her life.

Mary was a communicant of St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Holley and, earlier in her life, was an active member of the Orleans County Home Bureau. She enjoyed bowling and birdwatching. She is survived by her children, Ann Marie Jermyn of Rochester, Martin (Joanna) Sailus of Newark Valley, N.Y., and Andrew (Rosemary) Sailus of Holley; her grandchildren, Monica, Rebecca, Cherie, Owen and Anna; her sister-in-law, Pauline Marchesoni; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Due to the guidelines issued regarding social gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic, Mary’s Memorial Mass will take place at a later date. Her interment will take place privately in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Children International, 2000 E. Red Bridge Road, P.O. Box 219055, Kansas City MO 64121; or to Catholic Charities, 1099 Jay St., Building J, Rochester NY 14611.
