Lorraine Martha Noreck
Lorraine Martha Noreck, 96, of Ocala, Fla. went to be with the Lord on Mon., Oct. 11, 2021 at Brandley Hospice House in Summerfield, Fla.
Born Nov. 1, 1924 in Albion, NY, a daughter of the late Casimer and Martha (Furmanski) Stucko. She graduated from Albion High School in 1943. Lorraine moved to Ocala, Fla. in 1985 after retiring from the New York State Dept of Corrections as a Sargent with 25 years of service. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing, bingo and gambling trips to Las Vegas and Conn., quilling and the Chinese art of Bunka. Most recently she enjoyed baseball and her favorite team, the Tampa Bay Rays.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband John J. Noreck in 1959. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Kathleen (Carl) Ziegler, Lithia, Fla., Lynne (Stephen) Ricci, Ocala, Fla. and Jeffrey (Jeanne) VanNostrand, Batavia, NY; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister, Charlotte (Robert) Monacelli and her son Alan (Michelle) Monacelli of North Port, Fla. and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is a longtime member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Candler, Fla., New York State Retired Public Employees Assoc., Silver Spring Shores Social Club and Immaculate Heart of Mary’s Women’s Club.

There are no prior calling hours. A funeral mass will be held on Thu., Oct. 28 at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 10670 SE Maricamp Rd., Ocala, FL 34472. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Albion, NY at the convenience of the family.
