Esther Brown
MIDDLEPORT – Esther Brown, age 89, passed away June 28, 2024. She was born January 8, 1935 in the Town of Alabama to the late Elmer and Vera (Garrison) Wagner, Sr.
Esther loved to cook, can, and take trips to the casino. Esther was a great teacher and cook, teaching her family members and caretakers how to cook countless meals. She was a very proud Buffalo Bills season ticket holder in her younger years, traveling to not only home games, but games all over. She worked at FMC as a materials coordinator for 40 years before she retired. Esther most of all loved spending time with her family and watching it grow.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard, in 2021; siblings, Elmer (Elizabeth) Wagner, Jr., Betty (Lawrence) Pafk, Frances (Stanley) Benben, Richard (Joanne) Wagner, Carol (Carl) Schubel and Lois Ayler; sister-in-law, Betsy Neuman; brothers-in-law, Norman Forbes and Robert Brown; and loving dog, Spike.
Esther is survived by her daughters, Roxane (Mark) Botsford of Baldwinsville, Teri (Mark) Keeler of Albion, and Wendy (Gary) Purser of Newfane; grandchildren, Danielle Grilli, Christopher (Morgan) Botsford, Brett (Katlin) Botsford, Katherine (Ian) Foos, Christine (Clint) Masterson, James “Buddy” (Victoria) Keeler, Daniel “DJ” Davis and Allison Davis; great-grandchildren, Jayse and Jayden Grilli, Cash, Beau, Cal and Banks Botsford, Luke, Grace, and Rhett Masterson, Charlotte Foos, Elaina Keeler and soon to be baby Keeler; sister, Nancy Forbes; brother-in-law, Robert Ayler; caregivers, Pam Heideman, Lisa James, Kim Hare, Cindy Meer and Jayden Townsend; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
There are no prior calling hours. A memorial service for Esther will be held at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St. Middleport on Tuesday, July 2, at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
