Douglas J. Hinds

Douglas J. Hinds, 66, of Gasport, entered into rest on Fri., Aug. 21, 2020 at Medina Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 28, 1953 in Buffalo, Doug was a son of the late Patrick and Rose (Lucci) Hinds. He married the former Patricia Seefeldt in 1987. Doug was a longtime and active member of both the Shawnee and Wolcottsville volunteer fire companies. He enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed classic cars and being around the classic car scene. Dedicated to his family, Doug most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, and he loved his animals dearly.

Doug is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Hinds of Gasport; son, Shawn (Shannon Blount) Ramsey of Medina; grandchildren, Isabel and Jackson Ramsey; two brothers, Robert (Ellen) Hinds of Rochester and David Hinds of Buffalo; nephew, Marc Hinds; and niece, Kelly Hinds.

Doug and his family would like to thank the staff of Medina Memorial Hospital for all they have done throughout the years.

A celebration of Doug’s life will be held at a later date at the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company pavilion, 3747 Lockport Road, Sanborn NY 14132.
