Candace J. Hackenberg

Candace J. Hackenberg, 31, of Medina, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 19, 2018. She was born May 15, 1987 in Brockport to Joel Hackenberg and Kimberly Gridley.

Candace loved sharks, music, traveling and tattoos. She enjoyed crocheting, driving around, baking, watching cooking shows, painting, drawing, and playing cards. Candace really loved spending time with her cat, Nashville, and her dog, Libby, as well as her niece, Madelyn.

Candace was predeceased by her father, Joel Hackenberg; paternal grandparents, Bob and Clara Hackenberg; and maternal grandparents, Ross and Myrt Gridley.

Candace is survived by her sisters, Crystal (Tim) Elliott and Samantha Hackenberg; brother, Thomas Hackenberg; niece, Madelyn Elliott; grandmother, Donna Gridley; aunt, Karen (Earl) Dunham; uncles, Alan (Sue) Hackenberg, Steve (Cheri) Hackenberg, Mark (Lorna) Hackenberg and Ross Gridley; and several cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thu., Dec. 27 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Oak Orchard Assembly of God, 12111 Ridge Road, Medina NY 14103, where her service will follow immediately at 6 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date at Mt. Albion Cemetery.
