It took two days to complete but Lew-Port put the finishes touches on a 48-20 win over Barker/Roy-Hart this evening in a season opening B North Division football game at Middleport.

Lew-Port had built up a 28-14 advantage on Friday night before play was halted by lightning with 1:48 to go in the first half.

When play resumed this evening the Lancers quickly added another touchdown pass from quarterback Donald Allender to Dawson Bailey covering 31 yards to extend the advantage to 35-14 at the half.

The Allender to Bailey combination clicked again for another TD pass play of 28 yards in the third quarter which ended with the Lancers up 42-20. Allender also threw a pair of TD passes on Friday.

Barker/Roy-Hart scored in the third quarter on a 2 yard TD run by Brandinlee Woods.

Woods and Josh Mead had each also scored a touchdown for Barker/Roy-Hart on Friday.
