Lady Rams blank Lady Raiders

Front-running Roy-Hart blanked host Barker 5-0 this afternoon to stay perfect at 6-0 in Niagara-Orleans League softball competition.

Taylor Fry hurled a 2 hitter with 6 strikeouts for Roy-Hart.

Two hits each by Kayla Brown, Ashley Bower and Maddy Glena led the Lady Rams at the plate.

Roy-Hart scored what proved to be the game winner in the first inning as Bower tripled and came home on a single by Glena.

Bower later added RBI singles in both the third and fifth innings as did Glena in the fifth.

Barker is now 3-5.

Newfane 9, Medina 3

Gabby Sinnott had two singles and a triple and Brooke Horning two singles and two RBIs to lead Newfane to a 9-3 win over visiting Medina.

Courtney Bailey drove in two runs for Medina.

Newfane is now 5-2 and Medina 1-6.

Medina defeated Newfane 12-11 in a JV make-up game on Tuesday as Brandi Guild scored the winning run on a walk off double by Cora Payne with 1 out in the seventh inning. Payne had a total of 3 hits including 2 doubles.

Medina also defeated Newfane 5-2 in the JV game today as Lacey Kenward hurled a 3 hitter with 6 strikeouts. Kenward and Ashley Howell borh had 2 hits.

Wilson 29, Albion 2

Doubles by Anna Bryer, Taylor Cyphert, Taylor Devole and Amanda Culverwell all had doubles to lead the offense for Wilson in a 29-2 win over visiting Albion.

Wilson is now 4-3 and Albion 2-5.

Akron 20, CSAT 0

Mattie Klein hurled a 1 hitter with 13 strikeouts to elad Akron past CSAT 20-0.

Abby Stone had 3 hits and 6 RBIs to lead the offense for Akron which improves to 7-1.
