Unable to get untracked on a muddy field, Medina dropped a 9-1 decision at East Aurora this afternoon in a Class C Division lacrosse game.

Jake Cotter netted Medina’s only goal in the fourth quarter.

East Aurora jumped out to a quick 4-0 first quarter lead. That remained the score at the half but the Blue Devils broke the contest open in the third period with five unanswered goals.

“The field was a mud bowl,” said Medina Coach Gordy Luthart. “We just couldn’t scoop the ball out of the mud. We just couldn’t get anything going at all.”

Medina is now 3-2 in the division and 4-2 overall.
