East Aurora stickmen belt Medina

Photo by Cheryl Wertman – Medina senior Kyle Barna became the team’s career scoring leader with a goal this afternoon in the Mustangs loss to East Aurora at Vets Park.

Jumping out to a 9-2 first quarter lead, East Aurora went on to defeat Medina 21-4 this afternoon in a Class C Division lacrosse game at Vets Park.

Staying perfect in the division at 3-0, the Blue Devils went on to hold commanding leads of 16-3 at the half and 19-4 at the three-quarter mark.

The lone bright spot for Medina was Kyle Barna becoming the Mustangs career scoring leader with a first period goal. A five year varsity player, Barna now has a total of 134 career goals breaking the old school mark of 133 set last year by Ben Austin. Barna now has 17 goals on the season.

Brett Pecoraro, Tyler Valley and Jake Cotter netted the other goals for Medina which slips to 1-3 in the division and 2-4 overall.
