Barker swimmers sweep Albion

Improving to 5-1, Barker defeated host Albion 60-31 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League boys swim meet.

Casey Webb doubled in the 200 free and 100 butterfly and Collin Webb in the 50 and 100 freestyle events for Barker. The Raiders also had Andrew Jenks win the 200 individual medley, Alex Goodlander the 100 backstroke and Ian Godolander the 100 breaststroke.

Morgan Seielstad won the 500 free for Albion which slips to 1-6.

Completing the sweep, the Barker girls downed Albion 57-33 to improve to 4-2.

Natalie Menz won the 50 free, Chloe Goodlander the 100 butterfly and Ann Buffington th 100 breaststroke for Barker.

Olivia Neidert doubled in the 200 and 500 freestyle and Elzabeth Furmanski in the individual medley and 100 free for Albion which slips to 0-6.

Newfane likewise swept past Akron winning the boys meet 107-63 and the girls competion 110-60.

Andrew Hamelink doubled in the individual medley and 500 free and Thomas Schultz in the 50 and 100 free for the Newfane boys team which improves to 2-4.

Allie DeBiase doubled in the individual medley and breaststroke, Lydia Gaughran in the 200 and 500 free and Meghan Mietlicki in the 50 and 100 free to lead the way for the defending champion Newfane girls squad which remains unbeaten at 6-0.
