Albion U19 booters win opener
The Albion boys U19 team opened the Rochester District Soccer League season with a 2-0 victory over Churchville.
Aaron Gaytan and Jacob Squicciarini scored the goals.
Noah Plain earned the shutout in goal as Marcos Sanchez turned in a strong defensive performance.
The Albion U13 boys squad lost its opener 7-0 to the Honeoye Falls Blaze.
In early season Buffalo and Western New York Soccer League action the Medina U17 boys team lost 10-0 to Akron, the boys U16 lost 5-0 to Alden and the girls U13-14 squad lost 4-1 to Ken-Ton and 3-1 to the Niagara PAL Eagles.
