Albion U17 booters romp

Getting goal production from 10 different players, Albion romped to a 14-0 victory over a visiting undermanned Churchville squad this evening in a Rochester District Soccer League boys U17 Division game.

Donato Rosario, Alejandro Ocampo Jr., Gilberto Gayton and Nick Reed each scored two goals to lead the Albion scoring parade.

Kevin Rosario, Ryan Reed, Marcos Sanchez, Chase Hall, Josh Metzler and Dan Bean each netted one for Albion which improves to 8-2.

Morgan Seielstad and Kevin Rosario shared in earning the shutout in goal.

Churchville, which slips to 0-11, started the game with only seven players.

U14 Division

Bloomfield 6, Albion 4

Bloomfield rallied late to edge past an undermanned Albion squad 6-4 in a boys U14 Division contest.

Albion, which had only eight players available for the game, built up a 4-3 lead on three goals by Kendyll Hadick and one by Preston Flugel.

However, Churchville rallied for three goals in the last 10 minutes to gain the win.

“I couldn’t be prouder of the boys,” said Albion Coach Eric Flugel. “They just hustled like cray. They rally worked hard out there.”

Michael Keeler on defense and Jordan Jacobs on offense also both had strong games for Albion which is now 4-2-2.
