Prepping for the upcoming Niagara-Orleans League season it is a numbers game, a small numbers game, for the Albion swim teams as the boys squad has only five members and the girls just 13.

Junior Morgan Seielstad and sophomore Dan Beam provide the veteran experience for the Albion boys squad which went 0-10 in N-O action a year ago.

Seniors Brooke Wilson and Shannon Wells, along with juniors Olivia Neidert and Ashley Hapeman, lead the Purple Eagles girls squad which is looking to improve on last year’s 0-10 N-O mark.

“I think they can be competitive,” said Coach Carlos Burroughs of the girls squad. “The key is to get better every day.”

Albion will face a quartet of Genesee Region League foes, beginning at Oakfield-Alabama on Nov. 25, before opening the N-O campaign at Roy-Hart on Dec. 10.
