Former Assistant Coach Gary Parisi was appointed Albion High’s new head varsity football coach Monday night by the Board of Education.

Parisi, a Social Studies teacher in the high school, previously served as the Purple Eagles defensive coordinator from 2006-2012.

“I’m very honored and privileged to be the head coach at Albion High,” said Parisi. “It’s all about the kids and helping the kids get better from day one.”

“Gary brings many years of experience and knowledge of football to the staff,” said Athletic Director Randy Knaak. “We’re looking forward to watching the program grow under his leadership.”

Parisi succeeds Tony Osburn who resigned his teaching and coaching positions at Albion in early December to take a position in the Chicago area to be with his family.
