POINT BREEZE – Two of the three missing kayakers have been found safe after they swam to shore and went to a house at Point Breeze, WKBW-TV in Buffalo is reporting this morning.

The other kayaker hasn’t been found. Any available firefighters in Orleans County are being asked to search the shoreline near Point Breeze.

The three went out into the lake at about noon on Monday at the boat launch at Golden Hill State Park in Barker. They were reported missing at 6:30 p.m.

Due to the windy weather, a helicopter couldn’t be used to search for the missing kayakers.

Several agencies have been trying to locate the three kayakers, including the Coast Guard, Niagara County Sheriff’s Department, Somerset Police Department, the State Parks Police, and the Olcott and Barker fire departments, The Buffalo News is reporting.

The two kayakers who made it to shore were taken by Orleans County Sheriff’s deputies to a command center at Golden Hill State Park, which is located just across the Orleans County line in Yates, WKBW reported.
