Seahorses sweep Blue Devils in opener

Medina swept to a non league doubleheader swim victory at Attica today capturing the boys meet 52-45 and the girls contest 52-41.

Daniel Heil, Kristian Snyder, Mason Pecoraro and Powell Stephens teamed up to win the 200 Medley Relay for the boys squad. Pecoraro also won the 100 Breaststroke and Kevin Capstick the 100 Butterfly.

Brooklyn Brown won the 200 Individual Medley, Hannah Heil the 50 Free, Alyssa Beyer the 100 Free and Olivia Carter the 100 Backstroke for the girls team. Heil and Carter also teamed up with Martha Gardner and Marguerite Brakenbury to win the Medley Relay.

The Seahorses next host Alexander at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

Albion splits with Alexander

The Albion boys squad defeated host Alexander 55-43 as Matt Kovaleski doubled in the Individual Medley nd Breastroke and Harrison Brown took the 200 Free.

The Albion girls dropped a 51-41 decision to Alexander. Liz Furmanski won the 100 Free and Michaela Pantano the 100 Butterfly for the Purple Eagles.

Barker, Pembroke split

The Barker girls downed host Pembroke 95-72 as Christiana Carestia doubled in the 200 Free and 500 Free, Sara Gendrue in the Individual Medley and Breastroke and Natalie Menz in the 50 Free and 100 Free.

Pembroke trimmed Barker 88-81 in the boys meet. Andrew Jenks doubled in the Individual Medley and 500 Free and Collin Webb in the 50 Free and 100 Free for the Raiders.
