On Oct. 23, 2014, Scott E. Davis was arrested for False Written Statement and False Reporting Incident 3rd, Class A Misdemeanors. Davis reported to the Troopers that the mother of his infant son had called him and threatened to kill the baby and then herself. Investigation reveals that Davis falsified the report and signed a written statement. During a follow-up interview with Davis, he admitted that he did make the false report because he was trying to get some retribution. Davis was arrested and processed at State Police Albion and given an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Murray Court on Nov. 3, 2014.

On Oct. 7, 2014, Lori J. Murek, 51, of 13344 Hanlon Rd., Albion, was arrested for Welfare Fraud 3rd; Grand Larceny 3rd; and Filing a False Instrument 1st (8 counts). Investigator Ken Strickland of the Orleans County Sheriff's Office, with the assistance of the Orleans County Social Services Fraud Investigation Unit, charged Murek after it was discovered she received nearly $23,000 in benefits that she was not entitled to. Murek was arraigned in Town of Albion Court where she was remanded to Orleans County Jail on $5000 bail.

 

Medina Police Department charged Caitlin E. Hardy, 22, of 355 N. Ave., Medina, on Oct. 15, 2014, with Resisting Arrest and Harassment 2nd. Hardy was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to return Nov. 3 to Ridgeway Town Court.

 

Medina Police Department charged Blaine R. Keyes, 24, of 8242 Akron Rd., Lockport, on Oct. 16, 2014, with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Keyes was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to return Dec. 1 to Ridgeway Town Court.

 

Medina Police Department charged Christopher M. Duncanson, 39, of 6737 Akron Rd., Lockport, on Oct. 16, 2014, with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Duncanson was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to return Dec. 1 to Ridgeway Town Court.

 

Medina Police Department charged Jazmond M. Brady, 25, of 112 Beaver St., Albion, on Oct. 17, 2014, with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Brady was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to return Nov. 6 to Ridgeway Town Court.

 

Medina Police Department charged Kaywood A. Poole, 27, 1 Thomas St., Holley, on Oct. 17, 2014, with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Poole was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to return Nov. 6 to Shelby Town Court.

 

Medina Police Department charged Debra L. Unell, 52, of 738 Orient St., Medina, on Oct. 18, 2014, with Driving While Intoxicated; Refusal to Take a Breath Test; Moved From Lane Unsafely; and Operator Leaving Scene of Property Damage Accident. Unell was arraigned and held on $1,000 bail and was scheduled to return Nov. 3 to Ridgeway Town Court.

 

On Oct. 22, 2014, Matthew M. Keiffer, 27, of 1200 Marshall Rd., Lyndonville, was arrested for Criminal Contempt 2nd. Deputy Jim Halstead of the Orleans County Sheriff's Office charged Keiffer after he was involved in a domestic incident at 67 Eagle Street in the Village of Lyndonville. The victim already had an order of protection against Keiffer previously issued out of the Town of Shelby Court. Keiffer was arraigned and remanded to Orleans County Jail on $1000 bail.

 

On Oct. 22, 2014, Jack D. Nenni, 20, of 245 Caroline St., Albion, was arrested for Criminal Trespass 2nd and Harassment 2nd. Sgt. Theo Gunkler of the Orleans County Sheriff's Office charged Nenni after a complaint where he entered a residence on Midway Road in the town of Gaines and got into an altercation with the victim. Nenni was later located by an Albion police officer and turned over to Sgt. Gunkler. Nenni was arraigned in Town of Gaines Court where he was released on his own recognizance and an order of protection was issued for the victim.

On Fri., Oct. 17, 2014, David E. Cotton, 43, of Kendall, was arrested by Deputy T.N. Tooley of the Orleans County Sheriff's Office for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st and 2nd Degree & other Vehicle and Traffic Charge(s) following a traffic stop on Hindsburg Road in the Town of Clarendon. Cotton's driving privilege had been suspended a total of 33 times with 26 scoffs on 12 dates. Cotton appeared before Town of Clarendon Justice Richard Kemp and was remanded to Orleans County Jail in lieu of $1,000.00 cash bail. The return court date was scheduled for Nov. 10, 2014.

 

On Sat., Oct. 18, 2014, Ryan P. Tower, 22, of Albion, was arrested by Investigator D.E. Foeller Jr., and Deputy J.A. DeFilipps for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana – following a traffic stop on State Route 31A in Town of Clarendon. Tower was a passenger in the car and admitted to possessing a quantity of marijuana as well as a glass smoking pipe. Tower was issued an appearance ticket for Town of Clarendon Court on Nov. 3, 2014. The driver of the car, Joshua S. Watkins, 23, of Albion, was cited for Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle and Insufficient Tail Lamps. He will also appear in Clarendon Court on Nov. 3. Both subjects were released on their own recognizance.

 

On Oct. 7, 2014, at 118 S. Liberty St., Albion, the Albion Police Department charged Benishio C. Coger, 18, with Unauthorized Use of Vehicle without Owner Consent.

 

On Oct. 8, 2014, at 200 S. Main St., Albion, the Albion Police Department charged Clarence L. Dunbar, 44, with Failed to Use Headlights with Windshield Wipers, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Second Degree.

 

On Oct. 12, 2014, at 3665 Clarendon Rd., Albion, the Albion Police Department arrested Ann M. Metzger, 54, upon the execution of a bench warrant.

 

On Oct. 14, 2014, at 107 E. Bank St., Albion, the Albion Police Department charged Khalil N. Johnson, 18, with Petit Larceny.

 

On Oct. 15, 2014, at 351 Hamilton St., Albion, the Albion Police Department charged Craig J. Martin, 20, with Harassment in the Second Degree - Physical Contact.

 

On Oct. 17, 2014, at 106 N. Platt St., Albion, the Albion Police Department arrested Jazmond M. Brady, 25, upon the execution of an arrest warrant.

 

On Oct. 19, 2014, at 20 Beechwood Blvd., Albion, the Albion Police Department charged Richard L. Hering Jr., 42, with Disobey Mandate Exc JL 753a-2.

On Sept. 26, 2014, Holley Police Department arrested Evan Vanskiver, 22, of 1 Thomas St., Holley, with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest. The arrest was after the defendant was allegedly yelling and screaming on a public street in the village, and when placed under arrest resisted with police. The defendant was processed and arraigned in Murray Town Court and taken to the Orleans County Jail on $250 bail.

 

On Sept. 26, 2014, Holley Police Department arrested Joseph Gentile, 47, of 1 Glenside Dr., Holley, for Harassment in the 2nd degree, after a complaint was filed by a neighbor. The defendant was processed and arraigned in Murray Town Court, where he was released on his own recognizance to appear on another court date. An order of protection was issued.

 

Medina Police Department charged Jay Buzard, 50, of 331 State St., Medina, on Sept. 30, 2014, with Violation of Village Noise Ordinance Dog at Large. Buzard was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to return Oct. 20 to Ridgeway Town Court.

 

On Oct. 1, 2014, Holley Police Department charged Maggie DiPilato, of 1 Nelson St., Holley, with Harassment in the 2nd degree, after police responded to a domestic in progress call at the same address. The defendant was processed and arraigned before Murray Town Court and taken to the Orleans County Jail on $500 cash bail. DiPilato was scheduled to appear in Murray Town Court on a later date.

 

Medina Police Department charged Dana Cyphert, 46, of 909 S. Main St., Medina, on Oct. 2, 2014, with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Cyphert was arraigned and held on $250 bail and was scheduled to return Oct. 6 to Ridgeway Town Court.

 

Medina Police Department charged Jason D. Keppler, 28, of 11682 Martin Rd., Medina, on Oct. 4, 2014, with Driving with Ability Impaired by Drugs; Unlawful Possession of Marijuana; Move from Lane Unsafely; Failed to Yield Right of Way to Emergency Vehicle; Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle; and Failed to Yield Right of Way Green Light. Keppler was released and was scheduled to return Oct. 23 to Shelby Town Court.

 

Medina Police Department charged Renee I. Brown, 34, of 2030 Harris Rd., Waterport, on Oct. 5, 2014, with Petit Larceny. Brown was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to return Jan. 8 to Shelby Town Court.

 

On Oct. 8, 2014, Holley Police Department served an Indictment Warrant on Javonie McKinney, 41, of 1 Thomas St., Holley, with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, with intent to sell; and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree. This arrest was after more than a six-month investigation conducted by the Holley Police and the Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force. The defendant was being held in the Orleans County Jail.

 

Medina Police Department charged Eric J. McGill, 31, of 125 Hedley St., Medina, on

Oct. 9, 2014, with Disorderly Conduct and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. McGill was arraigned and released on $400 bail and was scheduled to return Nov. 6 to Shelby Town Court.

 

On Oct. 9, 2014, Holley Police Department charged Matthew Edwards, 28, of 8545 Ridge Road W., Brockport, with 2nd degree Rape; 2nd degree Criminal Sex Act; 2nd degree Sexual Abuse; and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, following a complaint made on Sept. 5, 2014. The defendant was arraigned before Murray Town Court and taken to the Orleans County Jail on bail of $20,000 cash, $40,000 bond. The Holley Police Department was assisted by the Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force.

 

On Oct. 9, 2014, Holley Police Department charged Lauren Hennekey, 18, of 24 Geddes St., Holley, with Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd degree, for allegedly hindering the arrest of a person an on Arrest Warrant. The defendant was processed and released on an appearance ticket to appear in Murray Town Court.

 

Medina Police Department charged Tracy A. Nelson, 26, of 407 E. Center St., Medina, on Oct. 11, 2014, with Harassment 2nd. Nelson was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to return Oct. 23 to Shelby Town Court.

On Sept. 17, 2014, at 146 S. Main St., Albion, the Albion Police Department charged Lloyd P. Parsons, 24, of Albion, with Petit Larceny.

 

On Sept. 19, 2014, at 165 King St., Albion, the Albion Police Department charged Craig P. Braswell, 48, of Albion, with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Second Degree; Endangering the Welfare of a Child; Operation of a Motor Vehicle with .08 of 1% or More Blood Alcohol Content; Aggravated DWI: With a Child Passenger; Failure to Dim Lights; and Driving While Intoxicated - First Offense.

 

On Oct. 6, 2014, at 19 E. Ave., Albion, the Albion Police Department charged Stanley Romanowski, 59, of Albion, with Speed Violation: Speed in Zone; and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree.

 

On Sept. 23, 2014, at 19 E. Ave., Albion, the Albion Police Department charged Joelle D. Mitchell, 26, of Albion, on the execution of a bench warrant.

 

On Sept. 30, 2014, at 231 E. Ave., Albion, the Albion Police Department charged Jason Westbrook, 25, of Rochester, with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree; and Speed Violation: Speeding in School Zone.

On Sept. 30, 2014, Roxanne M. Thomas, 28, of 17 Jay Dr., Brockport, was arrested for Criminal Contempt 2nd. Deputy Torry Tooley of the Orleans County Sheriff's Office charged Thomas as a result of a complaint that she allegedly called, text and left a voice mail on a party's cell phone. That party had a previously issued order of protection. Thomas was scheduled to appear in Town of Murray Court on Oct. 16, 2014.

 

On Oct. 4, 2014, Chantelle M. Hurtgram, 25, of 11863 Fletcher Chapel Rd., Medina, was arrested for Harassment 2nd and Criminally Obstructing Breathing. Deputy Kevin Colonna of the Orleans County Sheriff's Office charged Hurtgram as a result of domestic at a residence on Telegraph Road in the town of Ridgeway. Hurtgram is alleged to have pushed, punched and choked the victim during the incident. Hurtgram was arraigned and remanded to Orleans County Jail on $250 bail.

 

On Oct. 4, 2014, Lloyd P. Parsons, 53, of 4573 Oak Orchard Rd., Albion, was arrested on a bench warrant for Failure to Appear issued out of the Town of Albion Court. Sgt, Theo Gunkler of the Orleans County Sheriff's Office took Parsons into custody and took him to arraignment, where he was remanded to Orleans County Jail on $1000 bail.

 

On Oct. 4, 2014, Terry Holloway, 50, of 4573 Oak Orchard Rd., Albion, was arrested for Harassment 2nd and Strangulation 2nd. Deputy Tom Marano of the Orleans County Sheriff's Office charged Holloway as a result of a domestic dispute where he allegedly struck the victim in the face with an open hand and choked them around the neck. Holloway was arraigned and remanded to Orleans County Jail on $5000 bail and an order of protection was issued for the victim.

 

On Oct. 5, 2014, Joseph R. Hagen, 31, of 10655 Millers Rd., Lyndonville, was arrested for Harassment 2nd. Sgt. Don Draper of the Orleans County Sheriff's Office charged Hagen as a result of a domestic where he allegedly was pushing the victim and threatened to kill them. Hagen was arraigned and released on his own recognizance. An order of protection was issued for the victim.

 

On Oct. 5, 2014, Jonathan Magee, 33, of 226 Chamberlain St., Albion, was arrested on a bench warrant for Failure to Appear in the Town of Barre Court. Deputy Erin Fuller of the Orleans County Sheriff's Office had Magee arraigned, where he was remanded to Orleans County Jail on $500 bail.

 

On Oct. 5, 2014, Terry N. Oakley, 43, of 16572 Boots Rd., Holley, was arrested on a bench warrant for Failure to Appear that had been issued out of the Town of Clarendon Court. Deputy Torry Tooley of the Orleans County Sheriff's Office had Oakley arraigned, and he was remanded to Orleans County Jail on $1075 bail.

Medina Police Department charged Linda M. Wilson, 51, of 312 Catherine St., Medina, on Sept. 22, 2014, with Violation of Village Noise Ordinance Barking Dog. Wilson was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to return Oct. 20, 2014, to Ridgeway Town Court.

 

Medina Police Department charged Jaron T. Thompson, 25, of 711 Church St., Medina, on Sept. 27, 2014, with Disorderly Conduct. Thompson was arraigned and held on $500 bail and was scheduled to return Oct. 6, 2014, to Ridgeway Town Court.

 

Medina Police Department charged Alberta A. Jackson, 42, of 1025 Ridge Rd., Medina, on Oct. 1, 2014, with Disorderly Conduct. Jackson was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to return Oct. 20, 2014, to Ridgeway Town Court.

Medina Police Department charged David M. Arbasak, 18, of 94 Garden St., Lockport, on Sept. 12, 2014, with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Arbasak was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to return Oct. 6 to Ridgeway Town Court.

 

Medina Police Department charged Jeremy Cramer, 24, of 2956 S. Lyndonville Rd., Medina, on Sept. 14, 2014, with Disorderly Conduct. Cramer was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to return Oct. 9 to Ridgeway Town Court.

 

Medina Police Department charged Ashlee N. Morgan, 21, of 709 S. Main St., Medina, on Sept. 16, 2014, with Attempted Assault in the third degree; Robbery in the second degree; and Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree. Morgan was arraigned and held on $1,000 bail and was scheduled to return Sept. 18 to Shelby Town Court.

 

Medina Police Department charged Christopher D. Helsdon, 24, of 1213 W. Ave., Medina, on Sept. 17, 2014, with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Third Degree. Helsdon was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to return Oct. 2 to Ridgeway Town Court.

 

Medina Police Department charged Barbara M. Velia, 39, of 721 Church St., Medina, on Sept. 16, 2014, with Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the fifth degree. Velia was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to return Oct. 2 to Shelby Town Court.

 

Medina Police Department charged Samantha L. Wroblewski, 25, of 211 Prospect Ave., Medina, on Sept. 18, 2014, with Robbery in the second degree; Attempted Assault in the third degree; Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth degree; Aggravated Unlicensed Operator in the third degree; Failed to Stop at Stop Sign; and Improper Plates. Wroblewski was arraigned and held on $5,000 bail and was scheduled to return Oct. 2 to Shelby Town Court.

 

Medina Police Department charged Samantha A. Mezydlo, 22, of 6869 Platto Rd., East Otto, on Sept. 17, 2014, with Petit Larceny. Mezydlo was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to return Oct. 9 to Shelby Town Court.

On Sept. 20, 2014, Morgan N. Schleede-Gerety, 25, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated-1st Offense, a Misdemeanor and Moved from Lane Unsafely. Investigation showed that Schleede-Gerety was traveling eastbound on East Yates Center Rd., left the roadway, crossed a residential driveway, striking a driveway pillar and came to rest after striking a tree. The property owner observed the vehicle traveling toward him and was able to move in time to avoid being struck. During the interview, Troopers detected visual signs of intoxication and a very strong odor of alcoholic beverage eminating from Schleede-Gerety. She was administered the Standard Field Sobriety Tests that she failed. Schleede-Gerety was arrested at the scene and transported to State Police Albion for processing. Schleede-Gerety submitted to a breath test with a blood alcohol content of 0.16%, twice the legal limit. Morgan N. Schleede-Gerety was issued uniform traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear before the Town of Yates Court on Oct. 15, 2014.

 

On Sept. 21, 2014, the Holley Police Department charged Dylan H. DiPilato, 26, of 1 Nelson St., Holley, with second degree Burglary, following a call from 123 S. Main St. The caller stated that someone had broken into his home and was still inside. Upon further investigation it was found that Mr. DiPilato was found in the home. He was then arrested. DiPilato was arraigned in Town of Murray Court and committed to the Orleans County Jail. Bail was set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.

 

On Sept. 21, 2014, the Holley Police Department charged Evan Jacob VanSkiver, 22, of 1 Thomas St., Holley, with Disorderly Conduct, for an incident that occurred in the back of that apartment building. VanSkiver was detained and charged.

On Sept. 16, 2014, Alan S. Gorzynski, 54, of 3629 Knowlesville Rd., Knowlesville, was arrested for Assault 3rd, Harassment 2nd, Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2 counts) and Criminally Obstructing Breathing. Sgt. Theo Gunkler charged Gorzynski as the result of a domestic incident at the residence where he allegedly slapped, punched, pulled the hair and choked the victim. This was done in the presence of two children under the age of 17. Gorzynski was arraigned and remanded to Orleans County Jail on $1000 bail. An order of protection was issued for the victims.

 

On Sept. 19, 2014, Emily E. Morien, 41, of 10205 Freeman Rd., Middleport, was arrested for Harassment 2nd. Deputy Kevin Colonna charged Morien as the result of a domestic dispute where she allegedly pushed, punched and scratched the victim. Morien was located in Niagara County where she was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Town of Shelby Court on Sept. 25, 2014, at 7 p.m. She was then turned over to Lockport Police on an outstanding warrant. Morien had an additional warrant out of the town of Greece that was lodged with Lockport Police.

 

On Sept. 15, 2014, the Holley Police Department charged Summer Sewar, 21, of 6815 Knowlesville Rd., Oakfield, with Harassment in the second degree following a domestic dispute. The defendant was also on probation at the time of the incident. She was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to return to Town of Murray Court on Sept. 18, 2014.

 

On Sept. 8, 2014, the Holley Police Department charged Michael T. Ward, 45, of 1 Thomas St., Holley, with Assault in the second degree following a domestic incident that occurred on Sept. 5, 2014. Ward was arraigned in Town of Murray Court and was remanded to Orleans County Jail.

 

On Aug. 31, 2014, the Holley Police Department charged Colby L. Ellis, 25, of 3217 Oak Orchard Rd., Albion, with Speed in Zone and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle for failure to answer summons in May of 2014. He was issued two appearance tickets and was scheduled to return to Town of Murray Court on Sept. 15, 2014.

 

On Aug. 23, 2014, the Holley Police Department charged Douglas S. Jewell, 19, of 301 Chadlee Dr., Brockport, with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana after his vehicle was stopped with no left brake lamp lit. Upon confronting the driver, the officer smelled an odor of marijuana in the vehicle. After a search of the vehicle, the officer found a bag of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the center console. The suspect was arrested and issued appearance tickets and was scheduled to appear in Town of Murray Court on Sept. 8, 2014.

State Police Albion responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence in the town of Lyndonville. The investigation revealed that during the domestic dispute Michael D. Slack, 32, of Lyndonville, caused damage to a screen door and choked a family member. Slack was charged with Assault 3rd, Criminal Mischief 4th, both Class A Misdemeanors, and Strangulation 2nd, a Class D Felony. He was taken to State Police Albion for processing and was arraigned before the Town of Yates Court. Slack was remanded to the Orleans County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

On Sept. 2, 2014, at 118 S. Liberty St., Albion, the Albion Police Department charged Benishio C. Coger, 18, of Albion, with Disorderly Conduct/Obscene Language/Gestures.

On Sept. 3, 2014, Saul Sanchez-Librado, 21, was arrested for DWI-1st Offense, a Misdemeanor. Orleans County Dispatched reported a possible sick or intoxicated operator eastbound on State Rte. 31. Troopers located the vehicle on State Rte. 31 in the town of Albion. Upon stopping the vehicle and interviewing the operator, identified as Saul Sanchez-Librado, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected. Sanchez-Librado performed and failed the standard field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for DWI. He was processed State Police Albion and recorded a BAC of .14 percent. He was arraigned and incarcerated to Orleans County Jail on $1,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to return to Albion Court on Sept. 10, 2014.

On Aug. 22, 2014, Troopers arrested Jerry Kwiatkowski, 60, of Shelby, for Trespass, a Violation. Investigation reveled Kwiatkowski entered private property on July 24, 2014 and a criminal summons for Trespass was issued by the Town of Shelby Court. Kwiatkowski was arrested and was issued the summons to appear on Sept. 4, 2014.

 

On Aug. 23, 2014, Troopers arrested Karen A. Lemaster, 54, of Batavia, for Operating Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs, a Misdemeanor. Orleans County Dispatch reported an erratic driver on State Rte. 98 in the town of Albion.  A vehicle matching the description was located and found to be operated in an erratic manner. Lemaster was highly confused and unaware of her current location or how the damage occurred to the front of her vehicle. After an investigation, it was determined Lemaster had been operating the vehicle under the influence of several prescription medications. She was placed under arrest and taken to Medina Memorial Hospital for evaluation, where she submitted to a blood test. Lemaster was cleared and released from the hospital, then was transported to State Police Albion for processing. Lemaster was issued citations returnable to the Town of Albion Court on Sept. 3, 2014.

 

On Aug. 24, 2014, Troopers arrested Chad N. Gibson, 24, of Albion, for two Misdemeanors, DWI -1st Offense and Operating MV BAC .08 of 1% - 1st Offense; and a Speeding Violation. Troopers stopped a vehicle for speeding on State Rte. 31A in the town of Clarendon and detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverage and vomit. Gibson failed the Standard Field Sobriety Tests, was arrested and transported to State Police Albion for processing where he submitted to a breath test resulting in a BAC of 0.12%. Defendant is to appear before the Town of Clarendon Court on Sept. 8, 2014.

On Tue., Aug. 19, 2014, Trevor T. Cooke, 23, of Medina, was arrested by Deputy T.N. Tooley for Assault 2nd Degree following an investigation at a location on Maple Ridge Rd., town of Shelby.  The defendant allegedly assaulted his girlfriend with a gasoline-powered weed trimmer that was running. The defendant appeared before town of Yates Justice Donald Grabowski and was committed to Orleans County Jail. He was later released by the court with a future appearance date in the town of Shelby.

 

On Tue., Aug. 19, 2014, Brenden S. Morgan, 22, of Medina was arrested by Deputy T.N. Tooley for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. During a parallel investigation at the same time and location as arrest above, it was determined that the tenant of an apartment in a detached garage on the property was in possession of a modified AR-15 assault rifle. Neither the defendant nor the weapon was involved in the parallel incident, however the weapon was confiscated and the defendant was issued an appearance ticket for Town of Shelby Court at a later date.

 

On Aug. 15, 2014, Troopers were conducting a DWI check point on West Ave., Albion. At about 10:32 p.m., a vehicle was stopped and Troopers noted a strong smell of burnt marijuana. The operator was directed to a safe area where an interview could be conducted. After interviewing the operator, identified as T. W. Nottingham Jr., 20, of Albion, a glass water bong and a metal grinder with marijuana was taken into evidence. A second vehicle operated by Jason D. Berg, 20, of Albion was also stopped during the check point. An investigation revealed that Berg attempted to cover the odor of marijuana using a cologne. He was found to have a small plastic baggie containing marijuana in his possession. Both Nottingham and Berg were arrested for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and issued appearance tickets directing them to appear in the Village of Albion Court on Sept. 2, 2014.

On Fri., Aug. 15, 2014, Carly S. Wells, 25, of Ridgeland, S.C., was arrested by Investigator D.E. Foeller Jr. for Grand Larceny 3rd & 4th Degree, following a lengthy investigation into fraudulent purchases and/or cash withdrawals made on complainant’s credit card dating back to Feb. 1 of last year and totaling in excess of $28,000. The defendant appeared before Justice Dawn Keppler in Town of Ridgeway Court. Bail was set at $50,000 and she was committed to Orleans County Jail. Wells is scheduled to return to court on Aug. 21, 2014.

 

On Fri., Aug. 15, 2014, Christopher M. Caldwell, 36, of Medina, was arrested by Deputy D.S. Klips for Harassment 2nd Degree, following an investigation of a Domestic Dispute involving the defendant and his estranged wife. The defendant was issued an appearance ticket and appeared in Town of Shelby Court the next day. Justice Dawn Keppler issued a Court Order of Protection for the complainant and released the defendant. Caldwell is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 8, 2014.

 

On Mon., Aug. 18, 2014, Serina M. Winters, 37, of Medina, was arrested by Lieutenant C.M. Bourke on an outstanding County Court warrant after she was apprehended by Rochester Police and turned over to the Orleans County Sheriff's Office. The original charge is 5th Degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and the warrant was issued incidental to her failure to appear in court on June 30, 2014. The defendant appeared before County Court Judge James Punch and was committed to Orleans County Jail without bail.

On Aug. 14, 2014, New York State Police arrested Regina Grimball, 55, of Medina, for Grand Larceny 4th: Value Property Greater Than $1000, a Class E Felony and Forgery 2nd, a Class D Felony. On Aug. 9, 2014, State Police Albion patrol received a report from Medina Police Department. Investigation revealed Regina Grimball took, forged and cashed checks totaling over $1,900.00. Grimball was arrested and processed at State Police Albion and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Shelby Court on Sept. 4, 2014.

 

On Aug. 10, 2014, New York State Police Troopers responded to a report of an assault in Kent, N.Y. Investigation revealed Thomas C. Couch, 50, of Gaines, N.Y., allegedly appeared at a family member's residence, assaulted the family member, and left the scene. Couch was charged with Assault.

On July 13, 2104, State Police Members responded to a domestic dispute in the town of Shelby. An investigation showed that Jamie Kilbury, 32, of Lockport, had a physical altercation with his girlfriend causing her to have an injury to her knee. Also during the incident Kilbury took his girlfriend's cellular phone, after she stated that she would call the police, and threw it into a nearby pool. Kilbury was later interviewed and placed under arrest for Assault 2nd a Class D Felony and Criminal Mischief 4th Sub 4, Preventing Communication for an Emergency. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Shelby Court at a later date.

Medina Police Department charged Robert Thigpen III, 39, of 6367 Robinson Rd., Lockport, on July 25, 2014, with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs; Speed in Zone; Uninspected Motor Vehicle; and Displayed Forged Certificate of Inspection. Thigpen was released and was scheduled to return Aug. 25 to Ridgeway Town Court.

 

Medina Police Department charged James D. Haight Jr., 19, of 13725 Ridge Rd., Albion, on July 26, 2014, with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Haight was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to return Aug. 11 to Ridgeway Town Court.

 

Medina Police Department charged Kevin T. Dukes, 25, of Medina, on July 29, 2014, with Harassment in the Second Degree; and Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. Dukes was arraigned and held on $250.00 bail was scheduled to return Aug. 11 to Ridgeway Town Court.

On July 28, 2014, State Police Albion Troopers, while on patrol in the town of Albion, stopped a vehicle, on State Route 31, for failing to dim their headlights and failing to stay right. While speaking with the operator, identified as Jacqualyn S. Garner, 46, of Holley, the Trooper noted signs of alcohol use. Standard Field Sobriety Tests were administered and Garner was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. Garner was transported to State Police Albion where she refused to submit to a breath test, she was issued Vehicle and Traffic Citations for Driving While Intoxicated a Misdemeanor, and the following violations; Refusal to take a Breath test; Failure to Dim Headlights and Failure to Keep Right. Garner is scheduled to appear in the Town of Albion Court on Aug. 20, 2014.
