Kendall girls upend Pembroke

Regaining the .500 mark at 6-6, Kendall upended visiting Pembroke 42-33 this evening in a Genesee Region League girls basketball game.

Breaking away from a 32-32 deadlock, Kendall regained the lead for good on a key three by Liz Suphen.

The Lady Eagles then closed out the big win as Lizzie Rath scored 6 straight points.

“It’s a huge win, a huge win,” said Kendall Coach Jeff Parizek.

Taylor ReQua led Kendall’s balanced attack with 11 points as Rath had 10, Sutphen 7 and Jenna Regan and Daniella Volkmar 6 each. ReQua also had 10 rebounds, 7 steals, 4 assists and 3 blocks; Regan 14 rebounds and 5 blocks and Rath 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals.

Byron-Bergen 60, Lyndonville 33
Makenzie Muck scored 12 and Aubrey Lewis 6 for Lyndonville in the 60-33 G-R loss to Byron-Bergen.

Notre Dame 50, Holley 10
Callie McCulley scored 22 to lead Notre Dame to a 50-10 win over Holley in another GR contest.
