Holley-Kendall matmen clinch G-R title

Undefeated (3-0) Holley-Kendall edged past Byron-Bergen (2-1) 39-37 this evening to lock up the Genesee Region League wrestling title.

Sub minute pins by Tristyn Moyer in 48 seconds and by Erik Balys in 50 seconds highlighted the victory for the Hawks which also included a pin by Dalton Moyer and a major decision win by Jeremy Browe.

Registering pins for Byron-Bergen were Justin Hannon, Chad Toal, Jake Hixenbaugh and Chase Toal.

In another G-R match, Alexander defeated host Lyndonville 54-36, a contest which saw 11 of the 15 bouts decided by forfeits.

Jeff Gress Jr. and Alex Doran both registered pins for Lyndonville.
